I've seen the question asked before, but haven't seen a concrete answer to it yet. Just in case someone has any idea now that time has passed, I'll explain the problem.

Right now, according to my driver panel (and rivatuner), my 6800gt is idling at 53 degrees. That seems fine to me, as it's oc'd, I've got a humidifier on, and its freakin hot.
Everest decides that my gpu temperature is 43 degrees. This ten degree difference doesn't show up in the ambient gpu reading however, which is the same in both the driver panel and everest.

Now obviously I'd love to believe everest, as I'd be more inclined to press my gpu, but I'd like to know if anyone has dug up any furthur info on the matter.

Thanks!

Mine are both matching...

I was the one who posted this question before. Everyone suggested going with the driver control panel.
