The crew at Hardware Secrets had a lot of nice things to say about the Evercool Venti CPU cooler in their review today. Might be worth checking out if you need a new cooler.

The Evercool Venti (a.k.a. HPQ-12025) is an excellent mainstream CPU cooler. It is well-built, easy to install, and performs on par with more expensive coolers. Its cost/benefit ratio is the real highlight. It is also flexible, as you can install two fans for more performance.

CPU coolers might as well be generic at this point. How many coolers that look and perform JUST LIKE THIS ONE actually exist? Every company out there that makes CPU coolers has the standard 3-4 direct contact heatpipe cooler.

Well the one thing that this might have going is how thin it is... Perhaps on z77 Mobos and others that have RAM clearance issues, this may be a good solution. As generic as it might be the design works!
