Evercool Transformer 3 Heatpipe HSF

The fellas at FrostyTech have put the Evercool Transformer 3 heatpipe HSF to the test today and, even though it had a drawback or two, they seemed to like it well enough.

While the Evercool Transformer 3 heatsink performs quite well on both the Intel and AMD reference charts, the heatsink isn't quite able to rise to the top of either reference chart. The basic framework of the Evercool Transformer 3 is not unlike the Xigmatek SD1283 Frostytech recently tested, except for one key difference - the Transformer 3 cooler uses 6mm diameter heatpipes.

Funny how it looks nothing like a Transformer or a transformer.

Not impressed, its still to tall. I was talking to someone on a different forum who needed a sub 150mm tall heatsink. Shorten the tubes a bit and find a way to have them not stick out the top so you can at least hit 150mm.
