The European Commission launched formal antitrust proceedings against Qualcomm after complaints that its patent licensing for mobile telephones broke competition rules.

Matsushita Electric Industrial, Nokia, Broadcom, NEC, Texas Instruments and Ericsson have said Qualcomm's fees were far higher than the agreed-upon standard of "fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory."

This is going to continue as corporations see the EU as a place that they can use to hurt competitors that they would normally would not have a prayer of taking out. this is just one of those cases.
