Hey all, I need a little advice. I completely stripped a side panel. ad etched a design into the side. I was thinking of using the Duplicolor but i'm worried that the etched design might not show up. Any ideas or help would be nice. Ive even tried to fill the etching in with a sharpie and wipe off the excess, but it just wiped it all away. :(

The design is for a friend of mine on a case i'm doing for him. Kinda a promotional Thing for his rock band "feed the machine".

This is what i have so far. The lights are dim so that i could actually get a picture.

Usually that kind of work isn't for "filling". I'd imagine filling it would take away some of the picture.

If you were using a hvlp setup you could clear over it with a candy or pearl pigment and the design would still be seen. That's a little much though.

you think a clear enamel might hold to the metal? i was afraid without a base it might flake off...

With car paints, there's specific stuff you can buy to help clear adhere directly to metal. I wouldn't try it with rattle can stuff

The duplicolor Metal cast is supposed to be something that goes on bare chrome. How about that?
