Seriously, where was this about a year ago when I started messsing with it?

You should also add a link for updating ESXi, that was a massive pain in the ass for me.

Thanks a lot for this, I was searching for something like this. Please keep it up and add more useful videos, guides and tutorials.

Happy to take suggestions. I may add some VCP510 style videos for specific topics whilst I study for it.

How about Windows/AD account access? That is something I see brought up a lot in threads.. and honestly I still don't understand it myself or just can't seem to get it to work.

For example, creating two ZFS folders (say Private and Shared). Join the server to AD and then configure the Private folder to be blocked to everyone but one AD account, while the shared folder is available to all.. except for user folders for example.

I've been toying with this but have yet to get it to work reliably for some reason.

I think that has something to do with putting users in groups and then giving access to particular groups. Not sure though.

I saw that you passthrough Couger sata controler, what controller are you using for your datastore?

The couger thing is the name the onboard Intel controller comes up as.

I am using a SIL3114 - works perfect as datastore and has 4 SATA ports.
