ESXi Network Problems....

I installed ESXi 4 on a vmware player vm, as i am waiting for a new stick of ram for my server, just so i can play with it...... Anyway network is to NAT, my local network (physical network) is on a 10.0.0.x Scheme but the vm is on a 192.168.x.x scheme... any ideas? Thanks Guys! :confused:
 
haha yeah...laugh laugh laugh....... i am not going to use it i just wanted to "play" with it
 
nvr mind i changed networking type to bridged and its working now! Thanks anyway...least you got a laugh today :)
 
sweet so now you can go install some VM's on ESXi, then install Hyper-V in one of those...

I've got an ESXi 4.1 lab running inside VMWare workstation, so why not, its a decent way to learn things without needing to use physical hardware. :p

Exactly. Running vSphere inside Workstation or Player is a great way to get some practice. I have a third ESXi server running in Workstation that I occasionally power on for testing.

Yep. I have a portable SRM demo using ESXi on VMware Fusion with VMs running inside of ESXi.
