ESXi Moving DataStore

Hello,

due to Thailand being flooded I am not able to get a 500GB WD Black for my ESXi Data-Store.
I wonder whether I can use my old 320GB Seagate and replace it with a new HDD when available.
Is this going to work? Are there any special image/clone/backup tools that are to be used with that proprietary filesystem?

When you get the new disk, just stick in with the old. You can then copy all the VMs via command line to the new disk.

The command line? just add the datastore to the host and right click on each VM to move it.

That may work too, I have trouble keeping straight which features work with which license levels. I know a command line copy will work across all versions, and you could easily do all VMs in a single command.
