ESXI - Changing reported CPU Mhz

Hi.

I have underclocked a 3,3Ghz cpu to 2,8Ghz to reduce heat, powerconsumption +++.

Esxi is still reporting the cpu as 3,3Ghz. Is there some way to change this in Esxi?

The problem I'm seeing is that the virtual machine is getting 100% load, but esxi sees this as only about 80% (2,8Ghz), and never go to 100%.

Dont' think you can because its read from the bios itself of what type of chip it is.. You could use a resource pool and only give it 80% then it would read 80% I believe..
