Esxi 5.5 quad nic problem

First of all this is my first post, so, thank you for the great forums. Now, onto my build. I am currently trying to setup an Esxi lab/production setup for my home network. Recently I built a whitebox server consisting of

amd fx 8350
Asrock extreme 4 990fx (iommu enabled)
32gb ram
3 x quad nic Intel PRO 1000 PT

I'm having some weird issues with the quad nic's. The first being passthrough is not working. Everytime i enable it tells me i need to reboot the host. Even after reboot they stay the same.
The second issue is that only 6 of the 8 ports are actually showing up. (I only have 2 installed at the moment)

I have tried installing the latest e100e.2.3.2 vib file with no avail. I have also tried using 5.1 u1 aswell. Im at a loss as to what else i can try so, any help is greatly appreciated.

Also for those interested the reason for the 3 quad nic's was so that I could setup a GSN3 server inside of a VM so that i could study for my CCNP.
