I was on the vmware website looking through the HCL but dont see any listing. I want to know if a Q6600 and E6600 would be compatible for vmotion/HA for esx 4, both are 64 bit and VT compatible according to newegg.com
 
Should be.

If ESX will run on it, Vmotion/HA will run on it, assuming same bios/features/etc.
