Ok so with ESX 4.1 out I wanted to stage a separate network to play with it in.
This is all within my normal ESX cluster (yes ESX within ESX, remember just for TESTING)
This network is completely isolated from our Production Network.
I have two esx servers in it and one windows box with vCenter 4.1 loaded up.
All 3 have had their hosts files edited to reflect the DNS names to eachother.
The ESX servers however aren't happy, they will not ping each other, my vCenter server cannot ping the ESX servers.
Any idea what might be going on here? I gave the ESX servers a default gateway that doesn't exist on this network, not sure if thats causing the problem or not.
