Selling my Escort Passport 8500. It has the Red LED display. The radar detector functioned great all summer hard wired into my Mustang GT. I switched it over to my old truck (winter vehicle) and it keeps failing the self-calibration test.
A lot of people online say this can be caused by heat, dirty power from the alternator or fluctuating voltage from a vehicle that doesn't idle very steady. To be honest with you, I'm betting on it being the latter two considering the age of my truck. I planned on upgrading to a 9500ix in spring anyway.
It includes the detector itself with the windshield suction mount, the smart-cord & the original leather case and manuals/paperwork. IF the detector won't pass self-cal in your vehicle too, you can send it in to Escort and for $79.95 they'll fix whatever is wrong with it. That's why I'm only asking $70 shipped obo for this sucker.
It's an excellent radar detector, one of the best on the market. My heatware is NickS.
Thanks
Nick
