Got a new motherboard recently (Asus P5WD2-E Premium) and noticed an eSATA port (external SATA, duh! hehe) on the outside. My question... how can I use it? I know I could purchase an external SATA enclosure, but is there any other way? The standard SATA cables don't seem to fit in there, but it would be nice if it was possible to format/transfer stuff from HDs externally rather than plugging them into my case first. And without purchasing an enclosure
Pipe dream, I know, but I thought I'd get input to see if anyone knew any other options
