Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Does anybody have a recommendation for an esata card, cheap? I hate spend $30 for a card when I spent $58 for the motherboard. I do not need anything fancy . . . minimum would be 1 external esata port, pcie x1. Any other ports would be a bonus. Thanks.
You can easily turn unused internal SATA ports into eSATA ports by buying an expansion port adapter.
What do you mean by "1 external esata port, pcie x1"? Do you mean that you need a PCI-E x1 eSATA adapter? What board are you using? What are you trying to do with the add-on card?
I have a pair of Toshiba 1.5TB esata/usb external hard drives that I want to use for back up. I have a MSI 785gtm-e45 -- 6 sata ports. None of the ports are hot swappable and they are all full.
