There's a couple threads I post instructional / tutorial videos in frequently. For whatever reason I can no longer do so from YouTube mobile. It works fine from my desktop, but when posting a link from mobile I get an "incompatible hyperlink format" error.

Anyone know if this is due to a change on YouTube or HardOCP's part, if I'm simply doing something wrong, or if there is a fix?

Thanks for the help.

Testing Youtube Embed via Google Chrome Mobile.

It works fine for me.

On what browser did you encounter this?
Sample youtube link?

Using Chrome for Android; pasting link provided by official Youtube app when copying to clipboard (which has always worked for me previously).

Youtube seems to be providing a different link then before, the new one looks like it wants to redirect. Unfortunately the site will not let me upload the screen capture from my phone.

I will dig into YouTube's settings and see if I can find anything. Appreciate you guys trying nonetheless.

No joy. The links I'm getting from YouTube do not look like the 'tinyurl' -esque version you guys are displaying. They look like this:

https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=3T3HqjPGXgs

I can find no settings in Youtube to alter this, so perhaps it's related to my phone. Looking at the link however, I'm wondering if it will work if I delete everything before the = sign...

Nope. I still get the "this URL cannot be embedded as media" error message.

EDIT: Figured it out. YouTube's sharing feature has an option to "share as *username*". When ticked it adds the additional text. It was so small I hadn't even noticed it. Sorry to have bothered you with this, lol. Next time I'll just open my eyes.
