Error state event logging software?

I'm having a very intermittent crash to desktop issue and was curious if anyone has used or knows of an error state / event logging tool?

Running at 272x9 all weekend, I had two instances where BF2 crashed to the desktop. Both occasions occured around the 2.5 - 3.0 hour mark of continuous play. I haven't been able to isolate this failure yet. CPU temp was 35C at the time of the incidents. Prime95 torture test ran overnight with no failures @ 41C. I'm starting to think this might be game related but haven't ruled out a memory or video driver issue.
