I have been trying for the last 6 hours to get this to work.
The board is a DFI NFII ULTRA and an Athlon XP-M 2500+ (not overclocked yet).
Trying to install Windows XP will give me this error, it copies the files and then retarts and one of these two errors come. I changed the hard drive, still no luck. Changed the IDE channel of the HD and still gives me those errors when it goes to boot.
Tried fdisk /mbr and FIXMBR from the repair console. Nothing is working :(

Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

boot sequence in BIOS

i think you have something like floppy cdrom hd0(insert a number here)

this would cause you to boot from the cdrom and to be able to install windows

go into bios and look at the boot sequence
make sure you have hd00 (first available hard drive, usually IDEcable 1, master)

I changed that around too,
I used the following:
floppy, HD0, HD1
floppy, HD1, HD0
floppy, CDROM, HD0
floppy, HD0, CDROM

There is only one hard disk in this PC.

Have only the minimal components installed, reset the CMOS and try another IDE cable and HDD.

I had all sorts of problems installing Windows on a machine recently, it would fail installing a file, but when I would have it retry it would usually go through. However, the overall installation would not be successful. Turned out I had a stick of ram with some problems. It works fine once Windows is installed, but during the more critical install phase it couldnt cut it I guess.

Once it booted, then I installed the CDRoms and it stopped booting. I just cleared the CMOS, trying to install, hopefully it will work :)

IT WORKS :D:D:D
I just set the HD to LBA mode from CHC and now it boots :)

Thanks for the help everyone :)
