Hi, I recently was given an old HP Pavilion and I have had it for about a week now.
There were no issues with it until today when I tried opening My Documents or My Computer. Basically, the error that appears is above and I don't know what do to. I cannot access any of my documents but all of my programs work. I do not have a virus scanner currently. Any suggestions?

I do not have a virus scanner currently.
Get one, then scan.

You may need to do a restore point, install windows, or even reformat, but those are easy solutions. I'd wait until some other ideas are given.

What I don't understand is why the error I'm getting is from Visual Studio. I have nothing installed by them.

No I don't use GoogleToolbar (but why is it bad?)

I am currently scanning with "TREND MICRO HouseCall 6.5" as the above mentioned. Thank you :D

Any other suggestions?

spybot search & destroy is also good.

when google toolbar goes wrong it can cause the error you are seeing.

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while but I'm unfortunately back again.

Anyone know how to System Restore without using Explorer.exe? o_O

At least...does anyone have any odd/other methods of starting System restore?
