as the title says.. has anyone delt or fixed this error before "ERROR 0xfffffff6"..

its a 780g motherboard with an 8800GT on it.. id like to start gpu folding again now that i know my gfx cards not dead.. i looked it up on the FaH wiki and it says its ati only and a driver issue.. but i cant see how using an ati northbridge motherboard would cause this error.. any ideas would be greatly appreciated..

Technically, the northbridge integrate a GPU so it need the right driver. Even if you used a all-in-one driver for the 780G, get Catalyst 8.10 and install it (it should find it and replace the drivers).

im not using the onboard gfx though and the catalyst display drivers conflict with the nvidia drivers since i use dual monitors.. found that out the hard way.. :p

I had that error before. I just remove my video card drivers, removed my video card booted up with the onboard and then remove the ATI display drivers. Then put the Nvidia card back in, and installed the last CUDA drivers from nvidia website. Then the 8800GT worked fine. You can't use both. If you got a ATI card you use both onboard and addon.
hope that helps.

ok i fixed the problem.. didnt relize when uninstalling the program through the control panel that it wasnt actually deleting the folder.. so it kept the ati data folder in it.. and it was wanting to use that folder instead of the nvidia data folder.. deleted the ati folder.. started getting a cudart.dll error.. did some googling.. found out that i needed to copy over the cudart.dll file from the apps data/user name/folding@home-gpu/ folder to the program files/folding@home-gpu folder.. started the program up.. and blamo.. program worked again.. so now im back up and gpu folding again..

thank god google exists :p
