Hi, I'm new here, I've seen a few forums, but this one is the best one I've seen :D

I wanted to show you the PC i will be building around Xmas, it's going to be a top of the line gaming rig ,what do you guys think of it?

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester or 3200+ Winchester
Motherboard:Abit AX8 or a Nforce4 motherboard
GFX: ATIRadeon X800XT PE
RAM: 1GB Kingmax PC3500
Case: XG Sidewinder
Hard drive: 80gb IDE taken from old Rig until i can get the moeny for a 74Gb raptor
CD drive: A CDRW taken from my old Rig.

I personally will be waiting a few months after the NForce4 comes out before making any buying decisions. After the NForce3 debacle, I wouldn't trust it until it has been thorougly tested by the community.

If you want to get closer to "top-of-the-line" get an A64 with a Clawhammer core, or an FX series chip.

Unless you are planning to OC your new chip, I would suggest some nice Low Latency PC3200 as the Hypertransport will be looking for 400MHz mem.
