Currently, I have a pair of ER-6s. I love them, but their bass response sucks (even when paired with a CMoy amp). Between the Etymotic ER-6i and the Ultimate Ears super.fi 5EB, which will give me the best bass response, without sacrificing midrange and treble quality? Keep in mind I will be using them with an amp. Thanks in advance for the input.

The super.fi 5EB have a massive bass kick that might be a bit heavy for some listeners. The upper-end detail is crisp with very minimal roll-off in the highs combined with an excellent balance and resolution throughout the mid-ranges. The bass is definitely warm and thumpy but the transition from low to high frequencies is still very smooth and enjoyable. The combined armature and diaphragm driver technology delivers serious oomph and would well-serve hip-hop, techno and R&B funkateers who love some major bass action. The 5EB's may also work nicely for bass players and drummers as an on-stage monitor system.

The slightly larger size drivers on the super.fi don't insert as deeply into your ear canal which may mean a quicker adjustment/break-in period for in-ear monitor newbies. Conversely, achieving the all-important tight seal might take some doing but that is made exponentially easier by the 5 different sets of eartip sizes and materials (single flange & double flange silicone, squishy foam) included with every super.fi fit kit. A schwingy metallic storage case comes with the 5EBs along with the standard soft leather travel case that holds an in-line mini-to-mini plug volume attenuator which reduces the output level when listening to a high output source. The symmetrical 46-inch "Y" cord can be looped behind the ears to reduce cable noise and avoid cable obstructions and features a cable adjustor to snug the cord to the back of the neck. The cord is terminated in a gold-plated mini 1/8" plug and comes complete with a 1/4" adapter jack. All super.fi series in-ear monitors are available from HeadRoom in black or white. An extended two-year warranty is provided by Ultimate Ears.
The Ultimate Ears super.fi 5EB sound like they will fit the bill perfectly:

From what I have read over at headfi.org, I would suggest you choose either the Ultimate Ears super.fi 5 pro or maybe even the Shure e4. The reason I would not go for the EB's is that it is the canalphone with the absolute max in bass. The ER-6 on the other hand represents one of the canalphones with the least amount of bass (along with the ER-4 as well). The gap between the EB and ER-6 would be night and day, I believe. People suggest you only get the EB if you a BIG bass-head and really could not live with anything but the absolute max.

The Shure e4 canalphones would be closer to your ER-6 and still have a better low end. I personally think these would be your best bet.
The Super.fi 5 pro would be closer to the EB in terms of bass but not nearly as shocking to the system.
The ER-6i would also show improved bass but still maybe not enough.
