who uses the epox EP-8RDA3I to overclock???
i am looking for a good $70 board for someone to overclock a barton 2500

its supposed to be a cheap system, so if you have suggestions or something, that would be cool. just don't suggect the dfi afinity or the Nf7-s or something, those a over $70.
thx all

Ive never used epox in my personal systems..but from the ones i have used..theyve never impressed me
Ill stick to the tried and true ABIT NF7 sure it isnt an even $70 bucks..but ill take it over the epox anyday

Funny; I'm just the opposite from you there. ;) Never going to use an Abit or Asus board, but I'm loving my 8RDA3+. :p My FIC board is the one that really doesn't impress me, but then again, I have an unsupported revision (1.1). Stupid Fry's, pawning cheap mainboards off on me... NO BIOS updates AT ALL for this board.

Well, it's FIC with no BIOS updates. The Rev 1.1 boards that they sold 'aren't supported anymore, sorry'. Never going to buy from them unless I know the product will be given proper updates for it's life. ~_~ Can't RMA the board to them, either. They have a policy 'If you RMA a product, you get the same revision back'. They have bad policy, if you ask me...

yeah, i looked at the nf7, but is it as good as the nf7 v2? i am trying to look for the reviews on it, but most of them are for the new one.

as far as I know EVERY NF7 is rev 2 as of right now so you shouldnt have a problem...I know the two "plain" NF7's I bought were both rev 2's and my personal NF7-S was rev 2 so you shouldnt worry

NF7 has no SATA or onboard firewire or the soundstorm audio, but the regular 5.1 channel audio is still great.

I overclocked my NF7 much higher than the AN7 I just got.

I ordered the Shuttle AN35N-ULTRA the other day. 63 bucks, and its nForce2. Has all the stuff you need in the bios to overclock. No SATA, 5.1 or any of that fancy stuff, and it ships very bare bone. But you get what you pay for. From the reviews I have read though it is a quality mobo, it's just a no frills solution for people not looking to spend a lot of money. And yes it is a normal size ATX board. I will let you know what I think of it. I should be getitng it tomorrow. It may have what it takes to OC, but im shure that its no EpoX 8rda3+. I have the first version of this mobo, the 8rda+ and i am extremely happy with it, and im shure it has only gotten better.

The shuttel mobo works like a champ. I have no complaints. The ATX power, and IDE plugs are in great location for hiding cables. The ATX is right at the top of the right edge. So there is no intruding cable harness mucking up the looks of the blue pcb, and the matching blue radion 9200 i got for it.

It is all good.
