Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This might help, has to do with ownership of files in XP...sounds like your problem: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308421&Product=winxp
The "new" computer sees the files as belonging to the "old" one...you need to tell your comp that it owns those files now, it's an XP thing. Let me know if it helps!
i tried it, permitted full control to every user. i have full admistrator rights to the files, but i still can't see them.
i'm beginning to think this is a hardware problem, windows fails to complete disk error checking, and seatools drive check failed once (but passed the second time on "long" test).
Its a newly bought hard disk, how can this be happening? help!
