I read the spec from different sites
they all claim that 3007 needs a dual dvi display card..
does it mean 3007 has to be connected to both of the dvi output from the display card?
can i run dual mon only by one single display let say radeon X1800 series?
thanks

Here is one of the paragraph quote:
Requires graphics card with dual-link DVI. No on-screen display. Most monitor controls are through the graphics card control panel. Backlight uniformity could be better.

You mean it requires a graphics card with dual-link DVI . As long as the graphics card has dual-link, which the x1800 series does, thats all you need. And no, you dont need to use both of your DVI ports on the card. So yes, you can run dual monitor.

ha, unfortunately, i only own a X1600pro with dual dvi but only supports up to 2048x1536
thanks for your reply anyway!

No, it need a single dual-link port. Cards with dual link ports are:

7800
7900

X1300
X1600
X1800
X1900

A dual-link DVI port is different that dual DVI ports. The 3007 needs a single dual-link DVI port which is on the cards listed above. Some of those actually have 2 dual-link DVI ports which would allow you to power 2 3007's off of one card.

Dual DVI = 2 DVI ports

Dual Link DVI = a type of DVI port with TWO TMDS transmitters, but physically one port

Single Link DVI = a type of DVI port with ONE TMDS transmitter, but physically one port

Dual DVI = card with TWO Single Link ( normal ) DVI ports ( eg 7800 GTX )

Dual Dual Link DVI = card with TWO Dual Link DVI ports ( eg X1800, X1900, X1600 )

So Dual Link DVI is not the same as Dual DVI

So a card can have 2 DVI ports, but they can be 2 Single Link ( eg 6600GT ) or 1 Single Link + 1 Dual Link ( 7800GTX ) or 2 Dual Link ( X1900 and X1800 series )

The max resolution ( with some cheating ) on Single Link DVI is 1920x1200 at 60 Hz. Because the resolution of a 3007WFP is 2560x1600, you need a card with Dual Link DVI to drive the monitor. It is physically one port but uses two TMDS transmitters to increase the bandwith of the transmitted video signal. If you have the X1800 you can drive two 3007WFP from the video card

Um the 7800 has one dual link and one single link and the 7900 has two dual link out puts
