I just wanted to get a blessing on my current power supply before ordering a new video card.

I wanted to upgrade my current video card to a 1GB 4870 but I'm not sure if I need to upgrade my power supply as well.

Intel Q6600 + Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
ABIT IP35-E
eVGA 7800GTX - Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 Rev 3
Pioneer 18X DVD±R DVD Burner
2x2GB Mushkin PC2 6400 Memory
74GB Raptor
Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic
Corsair 520HX PSU

Good enough or will I need to get another power supply?

I think you should be ok with 1 4870. I've heard of people running 3 video cards for folding on an HX620. You might even be able to run a second one in crossfire but that would be pushing it a bit with your quad on there as well.

great, that's what I wanted to hear. I'm hoping to have the single 4870 tide me over until nehalem and then once I upgrade, I'll get a new PSU too and throw a second 4870 in unless by the time I can afford a nehalem rig the 4870 is a slouch.

You could definitely handle your current system, and even a second card in Crossfire (although that would be pointless with your current motherboard).
