Enough Clearance for Silverstone GD06?

I'm building a new HTPC/Gaming PC to install in the living room and have some space concerns before buying a case. I really like the Silverstone GD06, but realized the fit will be tight. The case is 17x6x13.5 (WxHxD) and the space in the TV stand 21x8x16 (WxHxD). Will 4" around the sides (2" per side), 2" above, and 2.5" behind be enough space to help keep the system from burning up? Or is the fit too tight? I plan to utilize all available fan slots (2 right, 1 left, 2 rear), but I also want to ensure the system is quiet enough during most operations.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Only one HDD or SSD will be in the case, so heat shouldn't be an issue...unless whatever GPU I go with runs extremely hot. I have a NAS that holds all our movies, music, etc.. My big concern was the space around the case since I've never built a PC for such a tight space.

I have that case, and I'm not using it. There's a video of an Australian guy doing an HTPC build of it on youtube, it's pretty detailed.

The PSU will have to be short, becuase the PSU cables will barely have enough room to bend right out of the PSU becuase of the 2 Hot-swap bays

The CPU cooler will have to be really short to clear the bottom of the optical drive, I was using the Noctua NH-l12 and couldn't use the 120mm fan on top, and even then only had milimeters of clearance.

Also the Noctua's heatpipes were almost touching the #1 RAM stick (G.Skill Sniper) on my EVGA Z68 SLI Micro board, which I suppose isn't really a problem, just a heads up if you're using some tall RAM sticks.

I think that's about it. It's a really nice looking case, I wish I could have used it, but I needed a bigger PSU and decided to go with an AX1200 and *needed* an NZXT Phantom, at least that's what I keep telling myself, lol.

Those are some of the same concerns I have. The Silverstone PSUs are built to fit in even their smallest cases and the reviews aren't bad, so I'll probably go with the 700W variant. For the PSU spacing issue, Silverstone has a "short cable kit" (http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-P...TF8&coliid=I2BFOE15R9C2KQ&colid=2VY3UGKGWNXBO) that can be used. Not sure exactly what to expect from them, but the option is there.

For a CPU cooler, I believe 70mm is the maximum fan size.

The toughest part I'm dealing with right now is finding a good video card that fits within the size limitations (no more than 11" long) while still giving me the ability to play today's games at high levels. I was looking at the MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III since its under 10" in length and isn't too bulky.
