I have not tested these, but they are allegedly optimized apps for SSE3

http://chomikuj.pl/rakowskipw/boinc/enigma/opty+enigma/Windows/Windows_najnowsze+opto+SESEFA+SSSE3

Another optimized app discussion here: http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=636 However, hanluc's post here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18701057 suggests it may not be any faster than the previous one.

I found the link from this thread: http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=572#3205

Edit: I created an account called HardOCPtest so that anyone whom wanted to test or contribute anonymously could do so.

to attach a computer to your account without using the BOINC Manager.
To do so, install BOINC, create a file named account_www.enigmaathome.net.xml in the BOINC data directory, and set its contents to:
<account>
<master_url>http://www.enigmaathome.net</master_url>
<authenticator>64417_10794bc413ed6d6e571fda8be9f2fc68</authenticator>
</account>

I'll be the guinea pig. Installed them on one of my crunchers for testing. I'll report back with my findings, once that machine gets some work from Enigma.

This optimized app seems to work great. I have only completed 3 WU's so far, but it looks like it has cut the 30pt WU processing time by 300-400 seconds per WU and the 60pt WU processing time by 700-800 seconds per WU. This is on one of my [email protected] boxes.

Stock app processing times:
30pt WU - ~1200-1300 seconds
60pt WU - ~2500-2600 seconds

Optimized app processing times:
30pt WU - ~900 seconds
60pt WU - ~1800 seconds

Testing on my Xeon E5504 now, will report back with findings.
Currently 30pt WUs are taking a little over 2000 seconds, 60 pt WUs a little over 4000.

Edit: looking good so far, 60pt WUs are coming in around 2600 seconds. Looks like a similar speedup to the results above, around 30% :)

Edit2: 30pt WUs seem to take around 1300 seconds with the optimised app.

I might be missing something, but does Enigma not issue units for Linux hosts? I have never been able to get any work for Linux, on several different machines, but I am under the impression that the project does support Linux so maybe it's just me.

Old thread and maybe not relevant, but - http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=207

Will have another dig around and see what I can see, it must be something I'm missing but really not sure what.

Edit: doesn't look related. There are plenty of Linux hosts in the stats which would indicate there isn't a general problem, and I can't see anything in the BOINC event viewer on my Linux machine that indicates a problem.

additional optimized apps link added to first post. I have not tested it but so far OcUK post suggests it isn't any better than the old one.

Today we have achieved new project milestone which is solving 113 880 000 workunits of the 227 760 000 that was given. This means that we've done half of work with this message.

As for my recent calculations with this project, we should hit the 100% in the start of November 2017. (690 days)

We can find the original message in the every one result that was send back, but there is a chance we won't find it at all.

The odds that we will crack this message in the next 24 hours (based on current workrate): 0,1449% (don't worry, the chance is bigger every day)

Next milestone: 60% (projected: April 2016)

If you want to run GPU work units on your CUDA capable cards, go to your preferences at the project and tick the box for running beta work units. Even older cards are allegedly supported.

I had to download the Visual Studio 2017 C++ 64 bit. I do not have 2015 installed so not sure if it would be minimum requirement or not. Everything was erroring out until I installed that.

That 1.2 million PPD sure goes a long way...lol

Nice, I hadn't noticed that. We've already managed to nab the #1 spot in FB so now it's all about building a lead whilst grabbing some sneaky vault points while I'm there. There's a cluster of teams at about the 60 million mark.

My task error rate reduced considerably once I installed the 2015 C++ x86 version alongside the 64 bit version.
