engineering samples Amd vs Intel

I see a million intel engineering samples but does amd keep them in a vault I haven't seen any period
 
Well I assume they don't give them out like candy because they are just beginning to turn a profit, while Intel has done so for years and years.

Anyways, Intel's "engineering samples" only offer features that many AMD processors have featured the whole time. I'm talking about unlocked multipliers, and while CPUs with this feature are increasingly harder to come by, AMD processors with unlocked multipliers are still easy to procure, without the help of engineering samples.
 
I'm talking more along the lines of an amd 64 with upwards unlocked multis and yes I realize that there are athlon with upwards unlocked multis. And I am also aware that the fx line has unlocked multis
 
Hmm, that could be useful if the price didn't venture into FX territory. I'd say that it would have pretty limited usefulness, as many prefer to drop the multiplier and increase the HyperTransport frequency instead.
