Guys,

Bought me a new 480 watter Enermax. Had separate 12V lines, smart fan to stay on for 2 minutes after shut down. The whole bit.

I spent more on that PSU than I have ever spent.

I went to install it. Everything was fine until I turned it on. I did, lights came on but no video.

I checked everything, reseated crap. Still nothing. I put in my older PS, and the same thing. I replaced my Video card and had video with my older PS and older VC.

I then reinstalled the Enermax. No video. It blew out 2 of my Freaking Video cards!!

That piece of crap went back. I am now using my 20 dollar PS and on an old old MX400.

I think Expensive brands are over rated....

not every unit can be perfect

but to rub it in my 350W enermax has great rails..3.34, 4.9, 11.8 under load

sorry bub

i just pulled out an enermax 450W with adjustable fan after 2yrs and a bit (is that about average time?) and replaced it with a ThermalTake 480Watt and the volts are actually better with this one than my last. go figure.

I always consider a PSU to be defective until I've tested it with a DMM. Even, or I should say, especially new PSUs.
