After floating aroud the web and hearing horror stories about x800s dying left and right There was one thing in common most users had a enermax PSU. And a Day ago my brother had and enermax 550 and got a x800 pro and it died first thing. It gets "connect power cord" issue which means its dead
Just sending out a friendly warning sorry if its a repost.
keep in mind this happens in in other PSU as well but enermax is most common
Enermax psu's killing x800
x800 death and enermax
Enermax psu kills x800
x800 deaths
x800 dies
and most of these people have not overclocked or flashed.
+++++UPDATE+++++
Just got the card back installed it on my system worked flawlessly. Put it in his machine ran 3d mark 2003 and same thing happend. "Power cable unpluged" He got pissed and called them and thery are saying that is it either the mobos fault or the PSU companys fault. He called the other two companys and they are saying the same thing " It must be the other harware" total screwed. He RMA though bestbuy and going to buy a new PSU.
