Long time lurker, looking for advice on which PSU to purchase for my system at about a 90 dollars including shipping.
P4P800-DLX (using onboard NIC + Audio)
3.2E
1GB PC3200
1-DVD-Rom, 1-CDRW
2 160GB Seagate SATA drives
ATI Raedon 9800Pro
and a Zalman Fan controller controlling 2-120MM (front intake and rear exhaust) and the Panaflow H1BX on the XP-120.

I was looking at the Enermax Whisper II ATX12V Ver 2.0 535W, Support PCI-E & SATA, Model: EG565P-VE FMA 2.0

Everyone also seems to recommend the Fortron Blue Storm 500W, which is 71.60 + shipping at actbuy.

On paper the Enermax seems to be the better buy, with 3 more amps per rail 12v along with higher 3v and 5v. The price seems quite low comparatively, making me wonder if there is something i am missing. Haven't seen any reviews of this Enermax, but the company seems to make pretty stable supplies.

I am not looking to overclock, and am not all that concerned with bling. I just want something stable that should last me a while, with the possibility of running a future machine until i save enough for a PCP&C.

That Fortron is actually a 460W psu. I know, I have one. But what's great with the Fortron is that it maintains its efficiency through a greater range of load conditions than most do. I'd get the Fortron.

Another vote for Fortron. I had that PSU running my main rig, but since retired it to my server. For a non-SLI system it is a very good PSU, however I stepped up to SLI so I put down the cash for a PCP&C PSU. I had no problems with that PSU running a system with an OCed P4, OCed 6800GT, tons of fans, 5 hard drives and 4 CC UV lights.

I have the fortron, been rock solid so far, so you know where vote is.

i have the enermax myself, the voltages do nto deviate at all, and measured with a multimeter the mobos 12v rail runs at 12.20 and the other stuffs at 12.18 the 3.3v rail runs at 3.4v and the 5v rail is 5v solid, the fans are dead quiet, the psu runs cool to touch, the p4 at 1.70v and the video card going full filt for hours warmed it up only a little
