Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
HI everyone any one know of any encrypyion software for a laptop pc? I had my laptop stolen last week and was wondering of a way to protect my personal and work info on my new pc or is there another way to protect my info?
It works fantastic. I use TrueCrypt with a seperate partition for all my data... w/o the code entered, the partition is effectively void, yet it's super easy for me to access.. three cheers. On another machine I use the "large random AVI approach.." works just as well.
I've got a 200 gig drive. I've got 6 gigs for windows and desktop drops partitioned off, the other 194 gig partition is trucrypt mounted. With a fairly speedy processor you won't really notice much performance hit from it, and your data is vastly more secure than doing it any other way
P.S. if you want to be really paranoid about it, use two keyfiles (random files you pick off your flash drive) and a password. Good luck to whoever wants in.
