Enamel spray paints = fire hazard?

Is it a bad idea to use enamel spray paints for painting fans, cases, etc? Would a well placed spark set the thing in fire?
 
no enamel paints are for high temperature environments its not going to just set fire and burn. however, before it is cured it is most likely flammable.
 
The most flamable agents in any paint, are the ones that evaporate (they have to have a low flash point so they have a low vaporization point as well). Once "cured" they should be fine. Some paints are put in the oven after curing to bake the paint on.
 
It's a good idea to be aware of what's going on around you when you paint though. Any spark from the lights or fan in the booth and I'd be toast with the paint's I use. That's why there's an extinguishing system attached.

It's a good idea just to keep things you're working on in a ventilated area.
