I am not sure what else to do at this point. The other day I received a second 6950 for crossfire from here on [H] and have had nothing but problems trying to get it to work. Both we're originally unlocked and were at max CCC overclocks. I wanted to benchmark the new hardware in 3Dmark11 and the computer kept locking up or just shutting off completely.
I have since ran both one at a time using various stress programs.
-reflashed to the same unlocked bios'
-relfashed again to stock bios w/o unlocked shaders
-switched out the crossfire bridge and tried both installed
-switched the cards around to different pci slots
-uninstalled 3Dmark11 and reinstalled
-reinstalled latest drivers
I don't know what else to do, or what exactly is causing these problems. If I boot into a game with crossfire enabled, the computer crashes. One card is a Sapphire that I have been running for several months without problems, and the second new one is a Visiontek, if that matters.
My system specs:
i7 920 D0 @ 3.9 GHz
Antec 620 H2O Kuhler
crossfired 6950's
6 GB OCZ Ram
ASRock X58 Extreme MB
TX750 W Corsair PSU
3 x 24" w2408h in Eyefinity
