eMule connection Problem

I share internet with my neighbour through our LAN.

I am the one with the main modem that is providing the connection.

The thing is, whenever I am connected on eMule he can't connect :(

I think it's because we're both using the same internet IP address

Is there a trick to bypass this stupid limitation?
 
Tell him to use a different port range from yours so both can use and connect to emule network.
