Employee Pricing on PC goods?

Prices are not bad, but it's just a sale.. I don't really think they are offering "employee pricing", it just seems odd.

Looks like a standard issue Tiger Direct sale mixed with a good bit of refurb and MIR stuff with an employee pricing wrapper on it.

I can tell you as someone who works in a computer store, that employee pricing isn't really all that good. The markup on most computer hardware isn't all that high. In some rare cases it is.

Specifically cables and bs accessories like mousepads have really high markup. As for things like video cards, motherboards and CPU's, not really. Maybe from the manufacturer to the distributor, but from the distributor to retailers, to retail customers isn't much at all.

Often things like computers are sold at below cost, in the hopes they can make it up in accessories and on extended warranties.
