I have two Maxtor IDE hds in my system, one is a 120gig that is my system drive, and the other is a 160gig that acts as storage. I keep the essential Windows files, program files, and my games on my system drive and use the storage for primarily music and whatever else I may come across. I have my entire music collection on my second drive, so I often listen to music on my computer. What's been happening lately is that while listenign to music, not doing anything else, the music will stop playing and Win XP Home will freeze up completey, and no key combinatino can bring it out. I have to push the Restart button on my PC. This is happening more often than not, and I am worried. Is one of my drives (or...gulp...both) gonna be biting the dust soon? Is it something else? What should I do to prevent this freezing from happening? Or should I order some new drives ASAP? Thanks!
