i have changed 3 monitors and my new place (which is practically attached to train tracks) has amazing emi/rf pollution. whenever the train goes by my monitor discolors on the left bottom side.... i have tried moving it around and discoloration moves with it.

Can you guys suggest some EMI/RF filters which i could put around the monitor. any help would be gr8. ive heard aluminium foil helps - any truth in that?
 
I don't know for sure, but considering how cheap aluminum foil is you might just want to try it out yourself. The worst thing that can happen is that you're out 16 cents.
