emergency !! connecting scythe SFF21F to motherboard...

guys, i'm a noob at system building...last one i build was almost 10yrs ago....right now i'm putting together a Q6600 system, with the advice of the helpful folks on the board, im trying to fit a SFF21F scythe onto the 120 extreme HS for my CPU.....now the problem is that, on the mobo ( gigabyte DS3L, the CPU fan header is 4pin...but the scythe is 3pin....anyone have any ideas ? thanks !

3 of the 4 pins on this style socket should be protected with a directional guard (A small piece of plastic that only lets the connector plug in one way).

Plug your 3 pin connector into the pins with the protector, in the only way it can go.

Looking at the picture of your board on Newegg, it will work just fine.
