I have been looking for hours trying to find information on how to set up an email server using my Windows Server 2003. I am doing this mostly for self educating purposes. I have my domain set up with the pop3, I set up outlooks mail settings to my server.domain.com I can send and recieve email. What I am lacking is how someone with a yahoo account or other can send an email to my server. I have a registered domain name with godaddy. My head hurts trying to figure this one out on my own. If anyone could get me a link to setting this up it would be great.

helped me out a lot when i was doing the same on a pre-SP1 server 2003 box.

though, one point not really enforced in the article is that you should expect to reboot the server after making the initial mail changes. sometimes stuff does not seem to propagate fast enough. although i have read that this problem (among others) should have been resolved with SP1. so take this extra bit of info as a "fyi" if you have problems.
