We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

My mom wants to be able to check her email on 2 computers in out house. but I only know how to set up one computer to check it, and thats where all the mail is stored. Is there anything I can do if I ahve Outlook express to check it on multiple computers? Do i need to get Outllok, or set up an email sefver? I am really clueless so if you could help me out it would be very appreciated.

I don't really know about where that setting in Outlook Express is, but there is a setting in the mail config that says something like "leave mail on server" or "do not delete mail from server" or something like that. Enable that on both machines, set the days the mail should be kept on the server to like 30 days or so, and you are all set, you can check the mail from as many computers as you like and they will all leave the mail on the server.

Use IMAP, so long as whatever she is connecting to supports it. Downloads a copy to your PC, and leaves a copy up on the server.

what is IMAP?

I can't find that setting in Outlook Express, but I shall continue looking.

Open Outlook Express -
Tools -> Accounts
Click on the specific account, and choose "Properties"
Click the advanced tab
Under "delivery", click the box marked "Leave a copy of messages on server"
The only drawback is that the e-mails are tagged as being "read" at the client, so if you view new e-mails on one machine, they show up as "new" on the second. No biggie though...

oh man...Windows help was actually useful! I just got the same thing that O[H]-Zone gave me. Thanks guys!
