email app issue for android

I have tried different email apps to see which one i like best for yahoo. The yahoo email app worked well but I didnt like the ads. I tried different apps but i had issues. I wouldn't get a ringtone notification when I new email arrived. I am wondering if I need to do something special other than just installing it, maybe to accounts or something else?

Can i get some help with this issue plz.
 
Go into your email app's settings. You should be able to set notification options.

The best Android email apps are Nine and Maildroid, IMO. Both are paid apps, but well worth it. I prefer Nine.
 
You'd get more responses if you posted this in the smartphone thread. :)
 
The best email app for android is AquaMail. I've tried them all, incl. Maildroid. I use Aqua since 2014 or 2015.
