How many emachines have you worked with? I have worked with over 30, in one of our labs, and also in friends and family members homes. I have never had any problems with them, and the price is certainly reasonable.

The current Emachine's laptops stack up well to the other laptop sellers. Don't be confused with the prior Emachine company.

Ive experienced many a problems with eMachines, my first PC's HSF took a shit and fried my CPU.

Yep, what he said...

I've got an eMachines 6805 that you will have to pry from my cold, dead hands before I give it up. This is after having some crapola laptops by just about everyone: Dell, IBM, Toshiba, etc...

Different company now. Do some research, then talk.

Those new emachine laptops are built pretty well. Now eMachines use to suck, but they are getting better. Might want to look into a toshiba or sagar also.

Like everyone seems to be saying, I've heard good things about eMachines recently. I hate HP...guess I've just had bad luck with everything HP I have ever owned.

Hey!!! I like my HP. The only problem is the intergrated graphics and no AGP slot, like most have. Had to get a motherboard for that. ANYWAY, my friend has that laptop. VERY reliable. I might get it too.
