Emachines M6807 laptop

yes many have. almost all positive. read the forums!!

i am a proud 6805 owner. you might think about getting a 6805 and upgrading the DVD writer in the future.

this is the best laptop i have ever owned (one ast, two toshibas, one HP over the years) and it can only get better as 64 bit apps become more available

I also have the 6805...best laptop I've ever touched. As said by dabey?...I would agree get a 6805 and upgrade the dvd at a later date, the laptop dvd burners are just not fast enough at this point and time. Also think page 2 of this forum you'll find the FAQ on the machines.

what everyone has said.

you don't really get much better. it's quiet. it's fast. it's got good battery life. the screen looks good.

and most of all...it's got that sexy e-logo on the lid and a strong scent of new computer plastic that clings to it for longer than most laptops.

yeah baby. yeah.

BestBuy has $250 in rebates on the 6805, at Circuit City the 6807 has only $200. So the 6805 is $150 cheaper after rebate and you can put that extra money to an external burner or a 8x internal DVD-Burner for you desktop, instead of a 2x on the laptop, which I think also yields slower cd-r burns than the 6805 on it's combo drive.

I like mine a lot so far, very good deal.
