Noticed a few posts on Google related to this problem with Samsung LCD monitors.

This is for anyone who has an emachines m6805 or greater model that is inquiring into the screen flickering problem.

Sometimes when a notebook is sent in for service it is required that the screen bezel be removed (five screws). For instance when a new WiFi antenna needs to be replaced.

When the screen is apart one should be very careful about the connectors under there.

I sent my laptop in to get a new keyboard and emachines also put in a new antenna which loops up and around the screen(behind the bezel)

After I got my laptop back the screen flickered in brightness from dim to bright on and off for some time. So I decided to investigate. I took the bezel off and I reseated the flourescent connectors (pink & white wires) and put the antenna in the right place :eek: .

Now, everything works fine.

NOTE: My computer is no longer under warranty as it ran out a month ago. So if you feel inclined to check this out you are doing so at your own risk.

If you are under the warranty, send it in to eMachines/Gateway for a free fix. They will send a box for it free of charge.
 
how is your warranty up already? you should have 1.5 months left at a minimum; it didn't come out until middle January or 04?
