I Have an emachine that is about 3 years old, it worked well until I moved to the country
where I must use dial up service. It will being running just fine when all of a sudden it will
crash and the screen goes black, it will come back on within 30 seconds most times.
Th dial up is very slow and about 50 percent of the time it shows being connected
to the internet but can not find the server..
Any ideas on what's up or what direction to go in?

From what you said it's quite possible that the electricity it's receiving is unstable and causing it to do this. If so it risks causing more severe/permenant damage.

If you get a UPS unit it will help protect it as well as smooth out the power supply hopefully enough to prevent the issue you're having.

If it's 3 years old I'd look over the components on the mainboard, especially around the power section of the mainboard...the capacitors on there don'r always last forever...if they are going bad all kinds of weird stuff can happen.

More than likely its a voltage problem. If you have a multimeter, test what is coming out of the wall. That'll give you an idea, at the least.
