if you were to use an SFX PSU are you able to insert the PSU without the bulge(heuheuheu)?

Don't think the CM Elite 110 provides any method to attach an SFX, or shorter ATX, without using the extended PSU bracket (bulge, lol)..

As you can see here, there is one slight caveat to the PSU placement, you’re forced to use the extruded bezel in order to attach the PSU to the case correctly. It does, however, help balance the weight of the PSU so that you don’t have as much weight being suspended solely by the 4 standard PSU screws. The extended PSU bracket does have a specific orientation, which is marked by the engraved word “TOP” on one side.

Perhaps it's possible to fab a new bracket flush with the back of the case (or something holding the SFX-to-ATX adapter plate to the case), or possibly even install the extended bracket with the bulge intruding into the case? Either way, you'll probably still need to be mindful of clearances with whatever CPU cooling you go with..

If you want to push the system against something and need the clearance, how about an angled power cord?

Monoprice link starting at $1.27 for a 3' cord, with free shipping
