Eliminating Banding

I just got my L90D+ yersterday and gotta say I absolutely love it. However I have one issue that I'm hoping I can get around some how.

I get banding on gradients which is a little bothersome. I know it's a fact of life with this thing but is there and sort of software out there or a way to get around this? Some sort of calibration software or a trick I can do on my video card?(6800GT)

If anyone knows any tricks I'd love to hear em. Otherwise I ain't gonna cry about it the rest of the monitor is too good.

i just got that monitor too. man it kicks ass. As far as banding, it's pretty good for a gaming panel and it's all the monitor's fault so there's nothing you can really do.

Sucks to hear about the banding but the monitor can only truly display around 250,000 colors so the gradiant transition is not as smooth as other monitors would be. You can try lowering the level of color or contrast or somehow make the monitor more blurry but these would all obviously have a negative effect on image quality. This is why I'm holding off on the L90D+ and waiting for atleast an 8ms-12ms 8bit 19" panel.
