I just bought 2 Cooler Master Y720DCD-25T1-GP 120mm fans that I'm trying to use with a Koolance tms-100k software based fan controller. Unfortunately I find that the fans use a potentiometer to regulate fan speed and when connected without the potentiometers they just run at minimum speed making them pretty much useless. My question is does anyone know how to bypass this and get the fans to be controlled by the koolance card i.e. their three pin fan cable.
I had considered something like diode isolating the potentiometer wire and splicing it into the positive wire of the fan but this is definately an incomplete thought. Any help?
